Their unique patented ‘Magmatic’ heating tablets provide the heat source for the radiator. While the electric radiator is classed as a 100% efficient Direct Acting appliance, the tablets provide partial storage to prolong your heating comfort and to reduce running costs by minimising waste heat. The robust body of the radiator incorporates a spot welded high fin surface to ensure that there are no expansion/contraction noises during the heating cycle.The high fin design boasts 6 times the normal radiator surface area to provide a balance of radiant and convective heat. Once the radiator achieves its optimum temperature it can continue to release heat for up to 45 minutes dependent, on the thermostat set-point. Radiators should use an average of between 20 to 30 minutes of electricity per hour, dependent on the settings and building fabric and outside temperature.

All Technotherm electric radiators include a highly accurate electronic thermostat. There are a variety of control options are available which include, fully programmable digital 'TDI', fully programmable digital with remote access 'DSM', or photovoltaic compatible 'PV'. 

 

Our most popular control option is the 'TDI' model. This is our highest standard integrated digital controller. This allows a broad range of programming functions from individual radiators which includes, 24/7 timer, eco-start, temporary timer by-pass, absence mode etc. This controller is the primary controller for the radiator and is not 'WIFI' compatible. 

 

Our newest model, 'DSM', is 'WIFI' compatible, facilitated by a Smartbox. This system is primarily controlled through your mobile phone or tablet allowing a broad range of control options including 24/7 timer, energy monitor, set budget, radiator priority, room temp display etc. There is also an integrated digital controller on the radiator which also allows basic control functions from the radiator.

'PV' models are suitable for use with solar photovoltaic panels.

All radiators are LOT 20 Ecodesign Directive 2018 compliant.

​The radiators include heating conductors that are produced from highest quality chrome-nickel stee which are moulded into the Magmatic tablet. These are resistant to scaling up to 1100 degrees celcius. The contacts inside the radiators are protected

with insulated sleeves to ensure optimum safety. All electric radiators are fully tested and checked prior to leaving the factory. They are packed fully assembled, complete with Quality Certification. As the products are of superior quality the manufacturer provides a 12 year warranty on radiators and a 2 year warranty on electronic controls.
